Afmass, Eastern Africa’s Most Influential Food Industry Trade Show is back

The AFMASS Food Expo, held annually since 2015, has become the premier trade show for sourcing the latest technologies and packaged food products in Eastern Africa. It serves as a vital platform for discovering investment opportunities and market trends in the region's food industry. This event primarily caters to the food, beverage, and milling sectors within the Eastern African Community and COMESA regions.

Anticipating more than 5,000 delegates and visitors from over 60 countries, with a majority from Africa, AFMASS offers an extensive showcase of Africa's food, beverage, and milling industries. The expo consists of five sections: food ingredients, milling and baking technology, process and pack, laboratory, and food & drinks market. Together, these sections encompass the entire spectrum of the industry.

The expo takes place amidst the rapid growth of Eastern Africa's food industry, prompting a rising demand for innovative, efficient, affordable, and adaptable technologies. There is also a need to develop new food products that align with the aspirations of the region's young, urbanizing, and digitally-focused population.

Founder & CEO of FW Africa, Francis Juma, highlights that AFMASS Food Expo presents a diverse range of products from small, medium, and large food companies, as well as equipment, packaging, ingredients, laboratory technology, and other supply chain solutions from Africa and beyond. It attracts food manufacturers, retailers, distributors, importers, exporters, and leading technology suppliers, making it an ideal trade show to explore the present and future of the food industry in Africa.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in the conference section, featuring high-level panel discussions on various topics, including the status of the food industry in Africa and the role of regulatory policies in maximizing the potential of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Adding further value to attendees, the AFMASS Food Expo 2023 will be co-located with the Africa Food Safety Summit, a pan-African conference dedicated to enhancing food safety, quality, and food systems in Africa. This collaboration enhances the overall experience and knowledge-sharing opportunities for participants.
