The Kenya National Farmers’ Federation (KENAFF) and iCRA have forged a partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deliver high-quality agribusiness training to farmers across Kenya. This collaboration comes as part of KENAFF's strategic plan to professionalize its county associations, enhance farmers' business acumen, and strengthen advocacy efforts at the county level. iCRA, leveraging its 35 years of experience in education, research, and agribusiness, will support KENAFF in providing tailored training services, focusing on areas such as business thinking, planning skills, and partnership facilitation.
One of the key areas of focus under this partnership is youth empowerment in agribusiness. Initiatives include reviving 4K Clubs in schools to instill practical skills and entrepreneurship among young individuals. Moreover, both organizations aim to develop affordable training services for specific member categories, integrate leadership and staff development programs, and collaborate on joint fundraising efforts targeting European donors. This strategic alliance between KENAFF and iCRA seeks to enhance farmers' capacity, foster sustainable agricultural practices, and address emerging issues within the agricultural sector in Kenya.
