Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) has officially launched a new Smirnoff variant at the 7th edition of the "Unleash your Edge Fiesta," held at Impala grounds. The innovative offering, known as "Smirnoff Pineapple Punch," is a delightful addition to EABL's extensive portfolio, blending the smoothness of Smirnoff vodka with the refreshing flavors of pineapple and ginger beer. This combination results in a fruity and crisp drink, perfect for sharing with friends and family on any occasion. The new variant is available in two convenient formats: a 330ml can and a 300ml bottle, both with an Alcohol by Volume (ABV) of 5.5%. It will be available in bars and restaurants at a recommended retail price (RRP) of KES 200/- for the can and KES 180/- for the bottle.
Entertainment at the Fiesta featured some of Kenya's top acts, including Khalighraph Jones, Fena Gitu, Grauchi, DJ Karowski, MC Gogo, DJ Roq, Fathermoh, Pierra Makena, Ssaru, DJ Linsey, DJ Tophaz, Reedah Yvonne, and Sir M.
Speaking at the launch event, KBL Managing Director, Mr. Mark Ocitti, expressed the company's commitment to providing consumers with innovative and distinctive drinking experiences. He noted that KBL's continuous investment in renovating and expanding its brands aligns with dynamic consumer trends. He also highlighted that the Unleash Your Edge fiesta is all about creating unique and flavorful experiences that go beyond the ordinary, emphasizing good vibes and good times with friends.
On the other hand, KBL's Innovations Commercialization Manager, Lillian Ndirangu, shared that Smirnoff Pineapple Punch targets consumers aged 25 to 34 who are trendsetters and fun lovers. This audience enjoys music, keeps up with the latest trends, appreciates art and technology, and engages with trendy and humorous content on social media. Smirnoff Pineapple Punch is best enjoyed when served ice-cold to bring out its delightful flavors.
KBL's dedication to innovation is a key driver of the company's growth, with profits in the financial year ending June 2022 attributed in part to investments in brands and innovative market strategies that respond to shifting consumer behaviors.
